Sight word recognition is a key skill required to develop reading fluency skills. Some words are not phonetically spelled and require memorization. Below are sight word lists, as well as, interventions to drill and practice needed vocabulary and high frequency words.
Make sure to get three baseline points before starting your intervention & monitor progress AT LEAST every other week!

Have students visualize words
Repeated practice saying, writing, and reading words
Use flashcards
Have peers time each other of who reads all the flashcard words the fastest
Make sure flashcards are at each individual student's level
Match sight words with pictures
