TRAINING OPTIONS

What is the difference between an Online Course and a Virtual Class?

Online Course

An Online Course is a collection of lesson material provided in a specific order where the student leads their self-directed learning. Course content can be scripted easily from the SMART Plan website or offered via a Teachables.com or GoToTraining.com.

Virtual Classroom Course

The Virtual Course has a live instructor using streaming technology and is the closest thing to having the teacher in the room with you. Students use the software and provided data and work through workflows learning program features.

On-Site Course

On-site training has traditionally been the primary method for training. There are advantages to separating out the day from work and dedicating the mind to focus on training. Multitasking while training and handling the normal workday workload can be a distraction. New technology supporting remote learning has allowed many users to reduce the total number of days of required on-site training.

Hybrid

A Hybrid learning approach is the modern method of professional and college courses. Mixing online content, virtual classroom courses and traditional face to face training provide the best blended learning scenario. The Leica SMART Plan is designed around this hybrid educational model and accommodates different learning styles and schedules.
