'The greater depth results at LEO ensure that every single teacher knows, understands, and can articulate what it means to be a greater-depth writer—using that metacognition. I do. We do. You do explicit instruction and make it clear and articulate for pupils. The other thing about greater-depth writing is not separating pupils. Teaching all pupils aspects of what it means to write, like a greater depth writing and then scaffolding using the technology, they can look up vocabulary if they're not sure what things mean, as opposed to what we used to do 20 plus years ago. And different pupils have different works. So having those high aspirations, but then adapting and scaffolding for pupils who need it'
