We want students to examine and explore what can be done to ensure people look after themselves both physically and mentally.
The j2e Toolsuite is a collection of online educational tools specifically designed to engage, motivate and inspire. j2e is an online, fun, creative environment. Text, graphics, animations, sounds, videos, and embedded objects can be combined on a single web page, with unlimited storage for files and the ability to blog at the click of a button.
Pupils could produce brochures in j2e5 to encourage people to look after themselves by getting fitter, getting sufficient sleep and watching what they eat.
For primary pupils, you may want to use the templates found in Busy Publisher to explore the concept of wellness by designing a poster to encourage people to eat well and move more (see NHS’s Change4life campaign below for further ideas about messaging).
You could use your Creative Cloud resources from Adobe Education Exchange to explore "What is mindfulness?" by creating an Adobe Spark video on the topic. Visit "Create a Video About Mindfulness in the Classroom with Adobe Spark" blog and also "Cooking in the Classroom: Make a Cooking Video to Encourage Healthy Eating Using Adobe Spark" both written by Dominic Traynor, Education Evangelist EMEA for Adobe Education.
The Everyone Can Create curriculum is a collection of project guides (broken down into music, drawing, photo and video) that bring creative expression to every subject. They are designed to help students develop and communicate ideas and use free apps available on any iPad; taking advantage of the built-in camera, microphone, speakers, Multi-Touch display and Apple Pencil.
