We want students to examine and explore what community means to them; this could be their local community or the global community. What makes people special and how do they care for and keep one another safe? What role and responsibilities can pupils play in order to make a positive difference within their communities?
The j2e Toolsuite is a collection of online educational tools specifically designed to engage, motivate and inspire. j2e is an online, fun, creative environment. Text, graphics, animations, sounds, videos, and embedded objects can be combined on a single web page, with unlimited storage for files and the ability to blog at the click of a button.
Your pupils could use j2e5 to create a poster encouraging the community to donate food at a food bank or clothes to homeless shelters. They could design a brochure to highlight the special places and community helpers and projects in the local area.
For primary pupils, you may want to use the templates found in Busy Publisher to capture the concept of community through artwork. Often children in Reception look at "People Who Help Us!" - they could draw one of those people.
They could explore the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and pick one to highlight in a poster.
You could use your Creative Cloud resources from Adobe Education Exchange to create a film about community including what would your pupils do for their community if they were Prime Minister or a Member of Parliament? Or what would they pledge to do for their school community if chosen as Class or School Councillor?
Things to consider:
What values do you represent?
What problems does the class, school or country need to address?
What are your dreams for the future?
Pupil Prime Minister - write your own manifesto.

In the Bee book you will find hands on creative activities aligned with Bee focused charities and their initiatives. Get your students creating through Photo, Video, Music, Drawing, and AR to connect to our identified causes and kickstart your own local movements in your communities.
focuses on building your students' empathy and understanding of situations to develop knowledge and encourage research and critical thinking.
Once your class(es)' work is completed you can submit it (via this submission form). It will be uploaded and celebrated on this LGfL hosted website.
