Welcome to Social Studies! I am excited to have each of you at LFCA this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning. Some things to expect from social studies:
An assessment for each completed chapter or section. This will most often be in the form of a standard test but may also be in the form of a project, essay, or presentation.
Interactive notebooks and notebook checks. Students will use their notebooks in class daily for bellringers, note taking, and a place to hold activity sheets and graded quizzes. Students will learn various note-taking methods and will use their notebooks as an additional source for studying.
Quizzes at least once a week, with a pop quiz once per chapter. Students are able to use their interactive notebooks while taking all pop quizzes.
Looking at historical and current events through a biblical worldview.
You can find the specific class syllabus, assignments, and test reminders on the google classroom. Grades are posted on Blackbaud. Online textbook and activity books are found at lfc.textbookhub.com.Â
