The district is coordinating with RSC Architects, Legacy Construction Management, Inc., and Dobco Group to ensure that the project is done carefully, professionally and in accordance with all guidelines, as well as with concern for all who live and work in the area. We are pleased to report that the first phase of construction is right on schedule. 

Here are the updates as of 11/25/25:

• Work will take place on the site between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday 

• It would be impossible to eliminate all disruptions caused by a project of this scope, but the district is committed to minimizing them, as much as possible 

• Groundbreaking took place on Saturday, May 31 (photos available here) 

• Construction of Liberty Middle School is 15% complete 

• Remaining footing and foundation have been poured; additional rebar installed and inspected 

• Slab on grade - the concrete foundation that will serve as the base for the building - has been poured

• Waterproofing is being applied to completed sections of foundation 

• Installation of storm drainage and manholes will continue 

• Plumbing and electrical trench will be excavated and backfilled 

• Installation of underground piping will continue 

• Underground electric conduits will be installed 

• Steel fabrication is underway 

• Structural approval has been obtained

• Construction is currently on schedule
