The district is coordinating with RSC Architects, Legacy Construction Management, Inc., and Dobco Group to ensure that the project is done carefully, professionally and in accordance with all guidelines, as well as with concern for all who live and work in the area. We are pleased to report that the first phase of construction is right on schedule. 

Here are the updates as of 2/19/26:

• Work will take place on the site between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday 

• It would be impossible to eliminate all disruptions caused by a project of this scope, but the district is committed to minimizing them, as much as possible 

• Groundbreaking took place on Saturday, May 31 (photos available here) 

• Construction of Liberty Middle School is 25% complete 

• Structural steel framing is complete, including columns, beams, and metal decking. 

• Plumbing and electrical piping are being installed.

• Slab-on-grade construction is complete, with ongoing site grading. 

• Preparations are underway for the walkway alongside the retaining wall at the rear of the site. 

• Masonry block placement for walls, interior staircases, and the gym mezzanine are all underway. 

• Crane-assisted steel placement and framing alignment is complete. 

• The footings and foundation concrete have been poured; waterproofing has been applied.   

• Storm drainage and manhole installation is complete.   

• Underground piping installation is complete.   

• Underground electrical conduits have been installed.
