Little Ferry Public Schools
Planning for the Future
Liberty Middle School Construction Progress is 25% Complete!
Planning for the Future
Washington School has welcomed generations of our community’s students through its doors over the course of the past 109 years. During this time, Little Ferry Public Schools has proudly established a strong connection with the community that drives our mission of delivering an exceptional educational program to all students.
District leaders understand that our residents have countless memories within the walls of this school. That’s why the Board of Education is seeking to connect those who taught in and attended the Washington School with our current and future school community.
We are looking toward the future of Little Ferry Public Schools while continuing the fiscal responsibility we have maintained for years. Building a new school would better serve our students and provide them with:
Safety and accessibility features so the building is welcoming to every student
Spaces designed to meet current educational standards and practices
Classrooms sized to accommodate a growing student enrollment
Financially efficient building systems that support a healthy environment for students and staff
Members of the Little Ferry Public Schools Board of Education know that a new school cannot be built without honoring its past and are seeking artifacts from the Washington School’s history. If you have photos or items that showcase the history of the school, we ask that you share them with us.
