ASVAB
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery. It helps you identify your different skills and competencies. It measures potential to learn and perform in certain career areas. Although the ASVAB is used as a military entrance exam, it also serves as a career exploration test and can help students determine future careers possibilities.
Taking the ASVAB does not commit you to join the military. It is a timed multi-aptitude test which is given nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Department of Defense. There is no obligation to join any military branch as a result of taking the ASVAB. SHHS does NOT release scores to military recruiters.
WHO: Currently enrolled SHHS students in 12th, 11th or 10th grade are eligible to test. The morning of the test, any un-registered students present and prepared to test will be given the opportunity to take the test if a registered student is late or a no show.
