Direct Services
School Counseling Core Curriculum-This curriculum consist of structured classroom lessons once a month using selected standards from the ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors for Student Success. These lessons are designed to help students attain the knowledge, skills and attitudes appropriate for their developmental level.
Individual Student Planning-This service assist students in establishing personal goals and developing future plans. Goals can be focused on academic, social/emotional and/or career.
Responsive Services-This service is designed to meet the immediate needs and concerns of students. Professional assistance and support to a student or small group of students is provided during times of transition, heightened stress, critical change or other situations impeding student success. School counselors do not provide therapy or long-term counseling in schools. However, school counselors are prepared to recognize and respond to student mental health needs and assist students and families seeking
Indirect Services
Referrals-Support for students and families to school or community resources for additional assistance and information
Consultation-Share strategies supporting student achievement with parents, teachers, other educators and community organizations
Collaboration-Work with other educators, parents and the community to support student achievement
