Course Description:
Welcome to 3D Design I! This course is the prerequisite to 3D Design II. This course is designed to teach students the fundamentals of three-dimensional design and how to apply the elements and principles of design to works of art. Students will create strong three-dimensional artworks that may include the use of clay, paper, plaster, cardboard, wood and/or other three-dimensional materials. Three-dimensional methods such as relief, modeling, carving and assemblage may be explored. Care and use of tools and materials and the studio will be stressed.

Instructional Goals:
This is a CP level course for 1 credit. All students going to a four year college in South Carolina must receive one full level Fine Arts Credit. The Fine Arts credit can include: Visual Art, Band, Chorus, Orchestra, Dance or Theatre.
