Welcome to Computer Class! My name is Cissy Graham, I will be your child's Computer Teacher. This is my 6th year at DFES. My family moved to Irmo in 2017 from Charlotte, NC. I have been in Education for 24 years. I have had the opportunity to do many things over the years including Montessori Assistant, After School Director, Educational Assistant, Computer Assistant, Assistant Teacher and School Secretary. I attended Winthrop University (Rock Hill, SC) and Queen's University (Charlotte, NC). I wear several hats at DFES including Computer Lab Teacher, After School Director and a Teacher Representative on PTO. I am currently the Support Employee of the Year for DFES and Support Employee of the Year for LexRich5 School District.

I am very passionate about children and educating them. I truly feel that "It takes a village to raise a child". I am here to love and grow your student in all areas. We will be learning many different things in Computer class this year. I will be focusing a lot on Digital Citizenship and How to navigate through & have appropriate behavior /interactions in the Digital World. THIS YEAR IN COMPUTER ......

We are getting back in the swing of things and getting acclimated with the rules, expectations and procedures during Computer Class. We are discussing EXPECTATIONS & PROCEDURES and what that looks like in Computer Class. 4K - 2nd will be discussing how to take care and carry our chrome books properly, usernames, passwords & how to successfully log-in to their chrome books. 3rd - 5th will be revisiting how to care for and handle our chrome books. We will be refreshing our memory about the keyboard and re-learning the keys & hand placement. I will start introducing and reteaching how to use GOOGLE DOCS. We will also be reviewing and discussing D5 Technology Student Orientation .Please review the D5 Technology Parent Orientation at your convenience. We will be focusing on Digital Citizenship & having discussions on how to be a good Digital Citizen. We will be using Learning.com to complete Digital Citizenship lessons & activities. Please ensure that your student bring a charged Chromebook to school each day, especially on the day that they have Computer Class. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
