ABOUT TANIA JOBSON

My creative journey started growing up a farmers daughter on the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. I learned to sew at the age of eight (8) and though I went on to a 30+ year nursing career, I've remained passionately creative.

Over the years I've run a quilting business and taught various disciplines in the textile and fashion industry including dressmaking, quilting and needle arts. I've obtained qualifications within the fashion, textiles and leatherwork industries and have experience in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Costumes and props for stage, screen and cosplay have evolved from my creative experiences, qualifications and a variety skills.

Above all, it’s my passion for this industry, and the satisfaction of seeing beautiful costumes adorning wonderful people that convinced me to consolidate my career as a Costume Designer.
