Allergy Procedures

If your child has food allergies/sensitivities, please send medical documentation to your school's nurse. They will forward that to our registered dietitian (Hannah Yoo), who will add the information to your child's lunch profile. Every time your child is rung up in the register, their allergy notification will pop up, alerting the cashier. The cashier will double check their tray to ensure that their meal is free of their allergen. Please encourage your students to memorize their PINs so that they can be properly identified.

Should a student require substitutions or modifications in school meals due to allergies or disabilities, a signed statement from a recognized medical authority must be provided to the school health office. School food service can make reasonable accommodations once there is documentation. The medical statement must include:

An identification of the medical or special dietary condition(s) which restricts the child’s diet;

The food or foods to be omitted from the child’s diet; and

The food or choice of foods to be substituted.

Medical statements completed by parents or guardians will not be accepted.
