Address Changes
If are updating your address with Lexington Public Schools, you must have occupancy of your new Lexington residence.

Outlined below is the documentation required to update a student’s address with Lexington Public Schools.
Please download and submit the Certificate of Residency in addition to your proofs of residency.
Certificate of Residency for METCO families only.
Any family who changes their address within the Town of Lexington or Boston must notify their student's school and email Central Registration at lpscentralregistration@lexingtonma.org within 5 days of moving.
You must provide updated residency documentation for your new Lexington, MA or Boston, MA residence.

Required Proof of Residency Documents
One document from this section is required as proof of residency.
Each document must include parent/guardian’s name AND the Lexington address (required)
SECTION A
Record of the most recent mortgage payment, property tax bill OR most recent closing disclosure/settlement statement (within 30 days)
Copy of standard rental lease AND most recent rental payment (within 30 days)
Copy of HUD lease, or other public housing lease AND record of most recent rental payment (within 30 days)
Copy of other lease OR signed and notarized Landlord Affidavit, Landlord Letter AND record of most recent rental payment (within 30 days)
Required Proof of Occupancy Documents
One document from each of the following sections is required as proof of occupancy.
Each document must include parent/guardian’s name AND current Lexington address (required)
SECTION B
A utility bill or “statement of service letter” dated within the past 60 days showing your current Lexington, MA address, including:
Gas Bill
Oil Bill
Electric Bill
HOME telephone bill (not cell phone)
Cable Bill
Water Bill (must be dated within the last 60 days)
SECTION C
Valid Driver’s License showing your current Lexington, MA address
Current Vehicle Registration showing your current Lexington, MA address
Valid Massachusetts Photo Identification Card showing your current Lexington, MA address
Renter/Tenant Insurance Policy
Homeowners Insurance Policy
Most current Bank or Credit Card Statement
