Students participate in small group seminars covering a variety of topics that vary from year to year. The overarching goal is developing relationships with peers and their School Counselor, as well as topics ranging from support and resources, transitioning to LHS, becoming involved/engaged in the school community, self-advocacy skills and effective communication, and managing school-life balance through healthy decision-making. Each grade level receives tailored topics relevant to them at that time, but also connected to previous years' seminars and will be important to future seminars. We aim for a multimodal approach in our seminar sessions, which includes group activities, class discussions, independent research, and lectures to cater to our diverse group of learners.Â
