EXAM REGISTRATION PROCESS
How To Register for an Advanced Placement Exam
It is a two step process.
Step 1: Create an account or log into your existing account to register and pay for the exams on www.totalregistration.net/AP/221190 .
Select the AP exam and teachers block you would like to test in.
Example
Biology S. Legge-DB24
Thu - May 16, 2024 12:00PM
If you are studying on your own and not in an AP Class you would select the exam and "independent study" instead of the teacher.
Example
Biology Independent Study
Thu - May 16, 2024 12:00 PM
*Please note LHS policies do not allow "Independent Study" for the following AP exams: Chinese Language, Italian Language, Spanish Language, French Language, Music Theory, 2-D ART, 3-D ART, and Drawing. You have to be enrolled in the class in order to take the above mentioned exams. Also, you cannot "Independent study" for an AP exam LHS does not offer.*
On your confirmation page you will receive a six digit join code for each exam (EX. Biology-JTW325). You will need the join code to enroll in the "Classroom" or "Exam Only" section on the College Board website for each exam.
Step 2: Create an account or log into your child's existing College Board account and enroll in the actual exams. This step needs to be completed or an exam will not be ordered.
You will need the six digit code for each exam to enroll in each classroom.
If you are an "independent study" student you will need the six digit code to enroll in the "Exam Only" section on the College Board.
Some students may have completed "step 2" during the month of September, their AP teacher may have provided them with the join code(s) so they can access their AP Classroom on the College Board.
** Joining the AP Classroom is NOT the same as ordering the exam, even if you indicate on the CB site that you plan to test. You MUST follow the two-step process and pay for and order your exam. If you do not pay, a test will not be ordered **
IMPORTANT-THERE ARE 2 AP EXAMS FOR ECONOMICS (AP MICROECONOMICS AND MACROECONOMICS) AND 2 AP EXAMS FOR PHYSICS (MECHANICS AND E & M)
