Research Partnerships with the
Lexington Public Schools
The primary goal of the Lexington Public Schools (LPS) is to educate children. We believe that well crafted research partnerships aligned to our instructional priorities can further this goal, but should not distract from it. All research project proposals must demonstrate they can be of benefit by studying areas and questions that are in alignment with current school and district goals and priorities. Even when alignment is achieved, research must not unduly take away from instructional time and LPS resources.
All research, including staff completing work toward degrees and certification, must be approved by the Office of Research, Planning and Data Services.
