I also miss my friends like Yoon. My mom means knowing everything. Just like Yoon, I also made friends. I like my new school and it looks cool. I love my teacher Miss Button. -Samvit

The children were engaged with the book My Name is Yoon. We first did a picture walk and had a discussion, we read the book the next day. The children were enthralled with the character Yoon as well as the story. On the third time reading the book we played the game "Roll and Retell". I was amazed how much the children were able to talk about the 1. What is the story mostly about? 2. Who are the main characters? 3. Where does the story take place? 4. When does the story take place? 5.What happened at the beginning, middle and end of the story? 6.What questions did they have about the story? The children were very happy to have their own copy.
