Grade 3 Recorder

 Welcome Estabrook grade 3 students.

        This page is a work in progress and will be updated with practice information as gr. 3 students begin to take their recorders home to practice. Gr. 3 musicians will receive recorder instruction in class and will be expected to practice at home for short practice periods.

  Recorders are subsidized by the Performing Arts Department to help lower the cost. Students who have the Nuvo recorder from an older sibling may use that one. 

Please see the following message from Angela Carpenter, K-12 Performing Arts Coordinator, and Nick Hart, K-12 Assistant Performing Arts Coordinator, regarding the recorder fee for this year:

"This year, there will be a small fee for the purchase of recorders for our students. In Lexington, we use this recorder for instruction. It is a wonderful instrument for young students and has many great qualities that make learning and playing the recorder more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. This recorder sells for $17.99 in most stores. Families will be responsible for $10 for their third grader’s recorder.
