This song was written especially for Estabrook School by Regie O'Hare-Gibson, poet, songwriter, author, educator, and Lexington resident. As the newly constructed Estabrook School building was just about to open for the first time in 2014, Mr. O'Hare-Gibson shared with Estabrook students the anthem that would teach hundreds of students for years to come to be safe, responsible, respectful and kind. Be an Estabee!

Chorus
Be, BE SAFE!
Be, BE RESPONSIBLE!
BE RESPECTFUL and KIND!
BE AN ESTABEE! (x2)
Verse 1
To BE SAFE at Estabrook is best for everyone
Because this is the best way to learn and have fun
And for me to be my very best self
I must be safe and hurt nobody else
Chorus
Verse 2
To BE RESPONSIBLE at Estabrook means
I put my things away and help to keep the school clean
I do what’s expected every day in my class
And follow directions the first time I’m asked
Chorus
Verse 3
To BE RESPECTFUL AND KIND means that I’ll take time
To really listen and hear what’s on your mind
I won’t bully and I won’t be mean
Because I wouldn’t like it if you did it to me
Chorus
Verse 4
So, be cool and follow the rules
And we can have a fine time at Estabrook School
And if YOU want to be an Estabee
Here’s the first step, repeat after me:
Chorus
Be, BE SAFE!
Be, BE RESPONSIBLE!
BE RESPECTFUL and KIND!
BE AN ESTABEE! (x2)
