From Mr. King: I understand that these assignments are quite light. That's by design. A lot of people have been absent, and, now, so have I. There comes a time when it's actually more efficient to slow down progress so that we can all move forward together. I am slowing down this weekend, but only to pick up the pace immeidtaely come Tuesday. Rest well, but be ready to "hit the ground running" come Tuesday. Bless you all.
Week 22: 2/23-2/26

Parse and Translate the following: Sententiae, pp. 214-215 #'s 8, 11, 12; Exercitationes, pp. 213-214, #'s 2, 5, 6
Do these translations according to the instructions I have given before in previous assignment sheets.
Classical Christian Studies 8
Read to page 230, until "The Rule of Sulla."
Mark in your book: highlight, underline, take some notes. This shows me that you read. I will check this reading on Tuesday.
If you do not read, or read well, The review of material on Tuesday will go poorly for you. Take advantage of this relatively light assignment by doing it well.
Thursday, 2/22
Students,
For my classes, just be sure to get extra rest. Some of you are sick, or recovering from sickness; others are stressed and just need extra rest. Please be sure, therefore, to get extra rest today--whether it's taking a nap or going to bed early. Be wise and follow this advice.
On Friday morning, by 8 AM, I will post light work for Friday and a normal loaf of work for the following Monday.
Rest well.

For the break...
If you're in need of some encouragement at the end of the semester, I urge you to take a few minutes and listen to this song (see the thumbnail below also). Find a quiet place and take in the words of this song, as if they are from the Father Himself. Because, well, they are.
Merry Christmas!
For Jan. 8...
Translation I: First Prose Readings - Pre-read #61 in "Jason and The Argonaughts." That is, scan the text, get familiar with the vocabulary and grammar, get a basic sense of the meaning. Take no more than 45 minutes on this.

Review Lesson 24 vocabulary (20 minutes)

Week 14: 12/15-12/18
Translation I: First Prose Readings - Review #'s 57-60 (only what we read in class) and come to class on Tuesday with questions. To be clear, the review on Tuesday largely depends on the quality of the questions you come with.

Classical Christian Studies 8 - Review chapter 7, 8, and 9.I-II. Remember: summarize, explain, paraphrase your reading question answers for better retention.
