  1. If your student enjoyed reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen or adventure stories, have them read these wilderness survival books.

  2. If your student enjoyed reading the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, have them read these books.

  3. If your student enjoyed reading The Hunger Games Suzanne Collins, have them read these book choices.

  4. If your student enjoyed reading To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han, have them read these books.

Resources to Help your Student

Click the button to the left to explore Lexington County's Public Library website. They have a multitude of resources to assist students and parents with digital tools, research, and other learning opportunities.

If you don't have a library card, visit any of the branches in Lexington County with proof of address, then you and your student(s) are all set to checkout books, magazines, and movies!

They even have family events, events centered around the age of students, and adult events throughout the school year and summer.

*With a library card, you may download the Overdrive app to access millions of eBook titles. The Hoopla app has a multitude of audiobook titles.
