MTSS/EARLY LITERACY RESOUCES
This website serves as a place to find resources needed to develop a strong system of support for all students. Having resources to pull will help simplify your ability to implement MTSS with fidelity and ensure all staff have all the needed tools for success.
Dr. Crotwell, Coordinator of MTSS/Early Literacy for Lexington District Two
My journey into education began as a SLD/ED teacher fresh out of college. I have dual Special Education and Elementary Education degrees. My heart has always been for students who sometimes find learning a challenge. But what I have discovered over my 20 years in education is that learning can be quite easy if students have explicit instruction, understand expectations, and know fully that you care for their learning and will do all that it takes to see them reach success in and outside of the classroom. Early Literacy is my passion and I know not only what the science says, but that prevention is the key to children becoming successful readers. We must ensure that our students have a strong foundation of word recognition skills, along with oral language skills to achieve comprehension. I'm here to support, guide, and lead all to achieve the results our students need for a positive future.
