School level attendance teams need to work together to establish expectations, identify barriers, and design interventions to address absenteeism. 

MTSS for Attendance is built with the same expectations of providing supplemental support to students when the data suggest there is need for improvement. 

Beginning with foundational supports, schools need to establish a positive environment for learning. Students are more likely to attend school when they have a learning environment that is welcoming and supports all their needs.
