In collaboration with the Letran SHS Fourth Estate, the Letran SHS Comelec held the first-ever hybrid SHS Miting De Avance for the Letran SHS Student Council Elections 2023. The event happened last April 20, 2023, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Mabini Hall and was live-streamed through the Official Facebook page of Letran SHS Comelec. 

The event was broadcast live via the Official Facebook page of Letran Senior High School Comelec, which allowed students who could not make it in person to watch and support their respective parties. The Miting de Avance showcased the candidates' platforms and programs and their skills in public speaking and debate. The event was a crucial opportunity for the students to decide who to vote for in the upcoming election.

The candidates from both parties, the SIKLAB Letranista Party and the INDEPENDENT Candidates, were introduced by the host, Ms. Jacque Jayne Pascual, of the Letran SHS Fourth Estate. Each candidate was then allotted two minutes to introduce themselves, with 25 minutes given to the parties. The SIKLAB Party commenced the introductions, impressing the audience with their platforms. The INDEPENDENT candidates, on the other hand, were lauded by their supporters both online and in Mabini Hall.

Following the introductions, the candidates were given two minutes each to answer questions from both parties. The Fourth Estate curated the questions from the students of Letran SHS. The candidates responded with aplomb, proving their worth to the Letran community. Next, the faculty members posed three questions to the candidates, further demonstrating their qualifications. The event showcased the candidates' ability to handle tough questions and think independently. It also gave the Letran community a glimpse of what they can expect from their future leaders. The candidates were also questioned by supporters watching online, which added to the overall engagement of the event. In addition, both parties were allowed to pose questions to their opposing party or candidate, resulting in a lively open forum.

With that said, Miting de Avance 2023 was a resounding success, and the students of Letran SHS are now prepared to cast their votes for the Student Council Election 2023. The candidates have demonstrated their worth and presented their platforms to the Letran SHS community, as the voters are now responsible for selecting the best leaders for their student council.
