The 22nd volume of iCommunicate Magazine was recently introduced during the magazine's second webinar, "CANVA - A Journey Always Starts with Navigation," last April 22, 2023. The webinar's objectives were to examine Canva's numerous capabilities and offer advice for applying what participants learned to their daily lives, careers, and problem-solving. Mr. Francis Aron Riano, a motion designer at Canva PH and a former layout artist for PUP Campus Journalists, served as the event's facilitator.
The demand for excellent graphics and visual material has remained the same as the world becomes more digital. To capture audiences' attention and effectively convey your message, it is critical to have captivating and polished images for all of your communications, from social media postings to presentations and posters. That is where Canva comes in; it's a user-friendly, feature-rich visual design tool that lets you quickly create great graphics even without prior design knowledge. Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht, and Cameron Adams established Canva in 2012 to enable anybody to design anything and share it anywhere. Users do not have to start from zero to produce something that looks professional because there is a vast library of templates, images, and photos available. Canva's drag-and-drop feature simplifies the creation process, and its user-friendly interface makes it easy to browse.
Mr. Riano provided insightful information about the platform's features and how to use them throughout the webinar. He emphasized the significance of selecting the appropriate font, color scheme, and image(s) to express the intended message and how Canva's built-in tools may assist users. Additionally, he underlined the value of designing with the end user in mind and how Canva can assist in producing designs that are accessible and user-friendly. One of the webinar's main lessons was the significance of creativity and experimenting with various design components to create original and compelling graphics. Mr. Riano advised leveraging Canva's tools to enhance designs with animations, special effects, and other interactive features to make them more dynamic and persuasive.
The webinar also covered how to use Canva for problem-solving. Mr. Riano demonstrated how infographics and other visual aids might be made using Canva's design templates and tools to clearly and concisely communicate detailed information. Additionally, he explained how Canva could be used to create logos, business cards, and other marketing collateral.
Moreover, the forum thoroughly reviewed Canva's features and how they can improve people's daily lives, jobs, and problem-solving. A platform is an excellent option for inexperienced and seasoned designers because of its user-friendly interface, extensive library of templates and visuals, and integrated design tools. Users can fully utilize Canva and produce great pictures that fascinate and engage their audience with the knowledge they receive from the webinar.
