TUESDAY, March 26, 2021 - In celebration of the Career Guidance Week 2021, a webinar held entitled 'Passion, Vocation, Mission, and Profession' with the theme: "When Purpose Meets Passion: Glorified Letranite Professionals in the Future." The Grade 11 students from Colegio de San Juan de Letran attended the webinar. This webinar aims to assist the students with their desired career path amidst the global pandemic.

Ms Ren Tallod of the Guidance, Counseling, Testing, and Placement Department hosted the Grade 11 Career Path webinar. To formally start, Ms Ren Tallod introduced the speaker Mr Allen John Jaca, a law student of the Arellano College of Law, an Accountant, and a Former Associate at SGV & Co. / Ernst & Young Philippines, and a College Professor at the Colegio.

He started his talk with a question, “What do you want to become?” He also discussed what Passion is by mentioning a celebrity Oprah Winfrey saying: “Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” He also added the specific things that students think, from “What is wrong with me?” to “What is right with me?”

He also shared the article he read about finding your purpose in life. He quoted, “I am the one who writes the purpose.” Furthermore, Mr Jaca shared four tips when finding a job: things you love to do, something you are good at, things you can get paid for, and things the world needs. “There is no other person who knows you than yourself”,, he added.

He ended his talk with the quotes, "If you know your dream, it can become a reality, just trust the process," “The power of self-belief is important,” “I am, I can, and I will. I am, I can do this, and I will do this,” and “Believe in yourself, because ‘I’ believe in you.” These quotes are indeed an inspiration for many.

As the webinar came to an end, Mr Jaca proceeded with the open forum and answered two students' questions. He also mentioned that practicality comes first because it is the stepping stone towards reaching our dreams.
