The Triple YES Answer of Pregnancy Journey

The recently engaged couple, Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo, has officially announced that Jennylyn Mercado is pregnant. Their pregnancy journey has truly been a rollercoaster of events and a much worth it ride for the couple. 

In a youtube video filmed last October 8 posted on Jennylyn Mercado’s account, the video showed how Dennis Trillo proposed to her. Shown in the video were clips of the actual proposal and the planning that made it possible. It was also revealed in the video that Jennylyn was in fact pregnant, as several news outlets later on, reported the news of her pregnancy. 

Their pregnancy journey was not necessarily as easy as pie. At the beginning of their journey, conceiving had been difficult for the couple due to fertility issues. So they had decided to take on surrogacy in the United States as an option. In March 2021, the couple flew to the US to get a start on the process. But again, it proved to be another challenge for them as Jennylyn had difficulties producing an embryo. Fortunately, she was able to produce an excellent one. After which, they had also found a surrogate for the baby and had planned to sign the contract for the surrogacy this October. 

After returning to the Philippines, Jennylyn continued filming for her upcoming show "Love. Die. Repeat". During her taping for the show, she had expressed how “weird” things started happening to her. Following the events, she grew quite nervous and decided to check on her menstrual cycle. She later found out that her period was a week late. 

The couple also shared how before Jennylyn could take a pregnancy test, she consulted her tarot cards beforehand. To her surprise and joy, the tarot cards posed three affirmative cards. As she had also described this result to her partner as a “Triple Yes”. After the reading, she had then taken a pregnancy test that revealed a positive result. She had also taken an ultrasound at a hospital to confirm the pregnancy, further revealing that she was already five weeks pregnant.

As stated by Jennylyn Mercado in an interview, Dennis Trillo really is her “greatest love”. Their pregnancy blessing has been hopeful in bringing them a much greater love for the years to come.
