It sings to me in sweet melodies, a tune .”

In the midst of the night, embraced by darkness, comes the gleaming light of the moon that seemingly reflects thousands of emotions—like a mirror of your deepest sentiments from felicity to sorrows. But today's moon is rather special, since it will appear in several places with a glowing ring of fire due to the annual solar eclipse. That glowing ring of fire is similar to how it is being in love, where emotions rush and appear to burn.

This is what Grentperez’s song “Conversations with the Moon" is all about. The burning passion for love, the contemplation and realization of being struck by it after being in denial, as well as the mixed feelings of enchantment and disbelief.

It tells the tale of a boy who has been captivated by someone. However, that feeling seems so foreign that he tries to disregard and deny it but fails as he realizes how he truly feels after pondering the moon's presence.

As you stare and admire the moon's beauty, surely thoughts pass by your head or linger in your mind. Whether it reminded you of someone, or whether it resonated with emotions that you have never once spoken about. This exact scenario and feeling was depicted in the song through metaphors, such as personification.

The moon was represented as a personified being who you can confide with. Someone who can understand you, someone who knows and validates how you feel. A being that would help you clear your mind, providing a sense of safety and serenity without judgment.

“Conversations with the Moon” has a slow to moderate tempo, featuring calm instrumentals primarily produced by an acoustic guitar and percussions paired with dreamy vocals that are perfect to listen to when you are looking for mellow music with calming yet fun melodies. A soothing song that would work well whether it is for a rainy day or a late-night jam playlist.
