May 21, 2023 (Sunday) - After the world dominance of her 10th studio album "Midnights," Taylor Swift surprised her fans with wonderful presents as she announced her world tour, in which she will be performing her songs starting from her debut album up until her newest album, which speaks up why the tour was entitled, “The Eras Tour.” In a tweet on November 1, 2022, the American singer-songwriter enthusiastically stated her big stage comeback, saying, "I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)!" The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!"
The tour kicked off on March 17, 2023, and ran until August 9, 2023, when she was also able to let various artists perform with her, namely Paramore, Beabadoobee, Gayle, Girl in Red, Muna Band, Phoebe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams, and Aaron Dessner. Numerous influencers and celebrities were also seen watching live some of her shows, such as the Haim band, who turned up to be her friends as well as partners in one of her songs, particularly "No body, no crime," which was part of her "Evermore" album, as well as her co-actors in the music video of "Bejeweled," a track from the "Midnights" album. In addition, Este Haim was also spotted with Harry Potter actress Emma Watson as they were dancing with the crowd in one of Swift’s Las Vegas shows. Emma Stone was also fearlessly singing her heart out in one of the singer’s hit songs, "Love Story," in her performance in the city of Glendale. One Emma after another was also distinguished in her Vegas show, as Emma Roberts was also perceived by fans enjoying the night while listening to the song, "Style." Lastly, Grey’s Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo was observed enjoying the night with her daughter, Sienna, also in one of the Vegas shows. Pompeo, who starred as Dr. Meredith Grey in the popular hit medical drama, was named after Taylor Swift’s cat, Meredith.
Every show is truly much awaited by the Swifties all over the world since there are certain surprise songs every night where she is performing. Some of the surprise songs that became part of the setlist on every album were "Tim McGraw" from the debut album entitled "Taylor Swift," which was sung on the first night of her world tour on March 17, 2023. Next is "Jump Then Fall" from her album "Fearless," which she performed on her show in Arlington, Texas, on April 2, 2023. From her "Speak Now" album, one of her surprise songs was "Sparks Fly" in her Nashville, Tennessee, concert on May 5, 2023. For the "Red" album, "Begin Again," which was completed in the Houston, Texas, show on April 23, and "Come Back Be Here," this May 12, 2023, for the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, show, "Wonderland" on April 21, 2023, concert, and "How You Get The Girl" from the "1989" album for the April 30 Atlanta, Georgia, the shows were performed. For the "Reputation" album, the song "Gorgeous" was brought off to the Atlanta, Georgia, show last April 29. "Mirrorball" from the March 17 show and "This Is Me Trying" from the March 18 concert in Glendale, Arizona, were performed from the "Folklore" album. For the "Evermore" album, surprise songs were "Cowboy Like Me" on the Las Vegas, Nevada, show last March 25 and "Gold Rush" on the May 12 show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Finally, "The Great War" on the April 14 concert in Tampa, Florida, and "Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve" on the May 7 show in Nashville, Tennessee, were both performed by Swift with the American musician and producer, Aaron Dessner.
Aside from the fact that her world tour was anticipated by many, another achievement that she has shared with the public is the re-recording of one of her studio albums, "Speak Now." She never disappointed her fans with her gifts to them, as she announced the good news at one of her shows in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 5, 2023. The said album will be released on July 7, 2023, making people enthusiastically wait for it since it has been one of the most awaited re-recorded albums by her as the songs have related to and captured the hearts of fans of different ages since it was first presented to the public 13 years ago.
This tour is considered to be the best opportunity for fan service given the fact that the show has approximately three (3) hours with a continuous performance by Taylor Swift. Indeed, it has been the best reward for the fans who patiently waited and sacrificed their time and money just to witness a stellar performance by the artist, who is considered to be the best of her time.
She continuously proved that her talent and generosity to the fans who supported and still support her up until today have been the reason why she has been loved by people in every corner of the world. There is no doubt that Swift has had a huge impact on the music industry.
