Representing Cebu City, 28 year old Tracy Maureen Perez has now been the newly crowned Miss World Philippines 2021 last Monday, October 4, during the coronation night. She is set to represent the Philippines at this year’s Miss World 2021 in December in Puerto Rico.
It was not the beauty queen’s first walk and battle at the Miss World Philippines. In 2019, she finished in the top 12 of the said competition. To date, this year has been her second attempt at pursuing the Miss World crown, where she successfully did. Also joined and won in the same pageant, Miss World Philippines 2019, Michelle Dee was the beauty queen that crowned her during the coronation night. She had also competed in the prestigious Miss Universe Philippines competition. She had also joined in the same national pageant event last 2020 and finished in the Top 16. Tracy Maureen Perez truly has the experience of joining such pageants as she had been competing at numerous pageants in her home city, Cebu, before.
The coronation night for this year’s Miss World Philippines has proven to be straining as she had fallen twice during the long and weary program. But she had not let it knock her down during the whole event. The beauty queen had delivered a stunning performance throughout, having exceptionally answered the question, “After we go through this pandemic, what would you want us to learn from it?”. She even bagged multiple awards throughout the night, along with a top 10 for Best in National Costume and other awards.
Tracy Maureen Perez also has some interesting background up her sleeve. During the previous Q&A event, she had mentioned that she was a miracle baby. She had expressed that she learned to be grateful for the life she has now because of it. Her profession is also that of an Industrial Engineer, stating that she is a fan of E-sports and even likes fliptops.
This year’s crowned Miss World Philippines, Tracy Maureen Perez, has been an intriguing and exciting candidate to watch. Indeed, her performance for the upcoming Miss World 2021 will surely be awaited by many as she continues to conquer the stage with elegance and confidence from within.
