Thursday, February 2, 2023 – “The Letran-Manila Senior High School Technical Vocational Area and Letran SHS Creative Hub held the culminating program of the ICT Week last February 2, 2023, with a theme, "Igniting the Future: Accelerating Creative Potentials and Opportunities Through ICT," at the Salon de Actos.
The event’s hosts, Kim Estrada and Marian Arabela Dondriano introduced the judges for the cabling contest, namely: Mr. Jerry Escultura, Mr. Jorell Melejor, and Mr. Jose Encarnacion. Additionally, the Letran Senior High School Student Council TechVoc Ambassador, Kip Neeson Buan, discussed the mechanics and criteria for the said competition. The ten (10) ICT students who participated should assemble straight-through and crossover cables in one hour.
While the judges were evaluating the contestants of the cabling contest, Lhara Joy Phoebe Morales from the Letran SHS Impresarios Guild and Grade 11 students from the Letran Danza en Ritmo Performing Group performed to hype audience’ mood.
Shifting towards the giving of the certificates to the winners of different events, for the mobile photography, winners are: Geanalyn Canalan of ICT11A won 2nd place, and Jerielle Pingol from ICT12A won 1st place.
For the digital poster design contest, Bianca Ashley Padonan from ICT12A received 2nd place, and Angel Letada, who also came from ICT12A, bagged 1st place for the digital poster design Contest.
Announcing the winners for the cabling competition, James Daniel Perez (ICT12A) bagged 2nd place, and Gerard Vladimir Alba (ICT12A) received 1st place. They were all given a certificate of recognition by Mr. Christian Reyes, the TechVoc Learning Area Coordinator, and Assoc. Prof. Eric N. Awi, Ph.D., Letran Senior High School - Manila.
Finally, Mr. Christian Reyes, the TechVoc Learning Area Coordinator, sincerely expressed his gratitude towards all the people who made the event possible and wished that the students would be able to use the skills that they acquired through the event.
