Kapuso Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera: Official Judge for the 70th Miss Universe

Last December 9, the Miss Universe Organization announced the official finals selection committee for the 70th Miss Universe Pageant to be held in Israel on December 13, 2021 at 8:00 am PST. The Miss Universe Organization posted the official list on their Instagram account with a caption, “Girl Power!💥 Meet our Selection Committee Members!”.
There will be seven female judges including the Filipina actress, Marian Rivera together with Miss Universe 2016, Iris Mittenaere and Steve Harvey’s daughter, Lori Harvey. Marian Rivera arrived in Israel last Tuesday together with her husband Dingdong Dantes, her glam team, and the officers of Triple A Management which is Marian’s talent management as seen in her Instagram Story with the caption, “I have arrived!”. The actress is anticipated to participate in pageant activities before the coronation night.
Marian Rivera is a 37 year old Filipina actress born in Madrid, Spain and raised in Cavite, Philippines. The actress became famous because of her main roles in hit television shows, Marimar, Darna, and Dyesebel. Marian also launched a floral business in 2017 called Flora Vida and eventually became a furniture store, homewares, and also a clothing line. Marian Rivera also participated in operations for kids with cleft lips and palates. She became an ambassadress to an advocacy group called Little People, an advocacy to children and women with disabilities. She was given a Breastfeeding Advocate award in 2016.
Marian has brought 10 suitcases with 20 astonishing outfits to be worn by pre-pageant activities as well on the coronation night. Most of these outfits are made by Filipino designers to show creativity and bring pride to Filipinos to introduce to the universe.
Marian was very honored and overwhelmed for this chance to be this year’s judge in the most prestigious pageant. "Minsan lang siguro magkakaroon ng ganitong pagkakataon, kaya para sa akin, isang malaking karangalan ito,” she said in an interview. She also said that she will be fulfilling her duties and responsibilities as a judge by preparing herself for this pageant by reading every contestant’s profile and advocacies.
