About Me
Limitless & Empowered
Limitless & Empowered
In many ways, the path to me becoming a social worker is both personal and generational. I am a third-generation social worker, and helping others has always been a part of my family's story. Carrying that legacy forward is humbling, and it continues to inspire the way I show up for the people I work with. My path began in child welfare and social services. Over the years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside children, families and adults as they navigated some of their hardest moments. It was challenging work, but it was also full of moments that reminded me how resilient people can be. I witnessed children finding safety and stability, parents working to rebuild their families, and communities coming together to support healing. Those experiences showed me that growth is possible even in some of the most difficult circumstances. They also taught me that healing isn't about quick fixes. Healing is about safety, trust, and helping people recognize the strength they already have. That's the approach I bring into therapy.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), under supervision, in Georgia (MSW012428) and Iowa (132424), with experience in child welfare, leadership and therapeutic practice. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of South Florida; a Bachelor of Social Work from Briar Cliff University (Sioux City, Iowa); and a Master of Social Work from Georgia State University. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and built on the belief that care should always meet people where they are. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: people deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered. My role is to create a safe space for that process and to walk along side clients as they move towards growth and healing.
My two incredible daughters are the inspiration behind L & E Therapeutic Services, LLC, which carries their initials and represents my "why." They keep me grounded and constantly remind me of the power of humor, curiosity and resilience.
When I am not working, you will almost always find me with a book in hand. Reading is my self-care, my escape, and if I am being completely honest, my favorite way to avoid folding laundry (I like to think of it as professional development with a much better plot).
