Snow White
Kai G. Fowler 5th grade, age 10
Hair, red as blood.
birds flip flap flop away
critters skitter in and out of cracks,
trying to avoid the deadly gaze.
Skin, white as a ghost.
creeping silently through the forest,
a master of evasion.
Eyes black like charcoal.
Watching you with every move you make.
Like a flame it darts through the forest,
catching all the life around it,
till everyone is whispering about the Snow White.
The hunter to never be hunted.
Snow White rules them all. . .
Happy Thanksgiving!
Amogh Padwal Grade 8
What Does it truly
Mean to give thanks?
Are we appreciating
Ourselves and others?
Or are we feeling grateful
For what we have.
Are we doing anything to show for
the thanks we give?
To give thanks is to
Repay or help someone.
Because actions are
stronger words,
Those actions should
be consistent.
Even the creators
of thanksgiving
turned on the same people
They had dined with.
Thanksgiving should not be celebrated on one day,
Thanksgiving is there to remind us to give thanks;
We should celebrate it every day!
