Queen Elizabeth’s Passing
Sarah Efraimov Grade 7
Queen Elizabeth passed away shortly on September 8, 2022. She left King Charles in charge of England. The UK is now left without their beloved Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth was crowned on June 2, 1953 when she was 25 years of age. Everybody will miss her kind heart. Yet the question still remains, did she like being a part of royalty? Surprisingly, unlike other royal members, the queen enjoyed being part of royalty and she held on as long as she could to continue reigning. The queen raised four children and King Charles is the one reigning currently, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.

A memorable Giants Game
Amogh Padwal, Grade 8
November 6, 2022
Remembering a memorable October Sunday with the Giants.
On Sunday, October 3, New York Giants Fans were at the edge of their seats. They watched a game going back and forth the whole time, and it would be a battle till the last yard.
Welcome to the football game on Sunday, October 3rd, that saw the Giants face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville. The Jaguars came out on top in the first quarter with a point.
Then in the second quarter, they scored a field goal making the score Giants 7, Jaguars 11. Then, after some great plays, the Giants scored a field goal, but the Giants were still losing by one point. Then disaster struck, the Jaguars advanced along the field, and just when they were about to score, they fumbled the ball around 5 yards before the endzone. The Giants recovered it with a turnover. After that, the giants were advancing and again scored a field goal. Now the giants were leading with two points. That marked the end of the second quarter.
Then disaster struck again in the third quarter; the Jaguars scored a touchdown. Now the Jaguars were leading with 4 points.
The Giants advanced again, never giving up, but the Jaguars got an Interception; the Jaguars' defender had roughed the quarterback, so the Giants got an automatic first down. They had dodged a bullet there. Another close attempt at the 5, but the Giants reached an incomplete. Again and again, they were failing. Doubts began to creep up on fans. Would the Giants lose again? I certainly had those as I was watching.
The 4th quarter started with the Jaguars again advancing on the field. Then the Jaguars lost a fourth down, meaning the Giants started where the Jaguars were. The Giants took this opportunity and sped across the area with conversions that had even the most demanding fans in the dark. Then in a pivotal run into the endzone by Daniel Jones, after both team’s players pulled out of the pileup, Daniel Jones was underneath and clearly in the endzone. The Jaguars took another fourth down and lost it again. The Giants seized this chance to expand their lead and shot across the field. They scored another field goal and extended their lead to 23-17. Now the Jaguars had one last hope with a minute left. The Jaguars quarterback threw, and The Giants caught it. I remember having no idea why the Quarterback did that; he threw it straight to the Giantsgiants player. With that, the game was over-or, so we thought. There was a flag, so the interception didn’t count. Then the Jaguars started to Blitz across the field. With seconds left, they threw a pass, and the receiver caught it at the one-yard line. The Giants' defense held against the receiver's unrelenting push and pushed him back onto the 2. It was enough time as the clock ran down and the game had ended. What a game! This will be one remembered by many Giants Fans this year. Though the Giants may now be out of the playoffs, they played many great games, of which this will be one of them. Both teams are great, and as said by the Jacksonville Receiver after the game, “On any given Sunday, somebody can, you know, come out and challenge you, and you could lose on any given Sunday.” I Quote him on showing that Winning isn’t important in the NF= Constant Vigilance and good performance is.
