The National Park Service (NPS) is partnering with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to encourage people to get outside and “Find Your Park” – whether it’s a state or national park! To encourage everyone to enjoy our Massachusetts state parks and the 450,000 acres of public land that DCR manages, we have been given a free MassParks Pass for 2022!

The pass is available for people to sign out and borrow for the day from the Recreation office at 40 Barrett Parkway, during regular office hours.

• First-come, first served!

• You can call to reserve the pass for a specific day (978) 534-7529 or just stop into the office and pick it up if it’s available.

• The pass must be returned by 9:00AM the following day. You can drop it in the mail slot on the office door after hours! Do not forget that there may be someone waiting to use the pass after you.

• There is a $25 late fee and a $60 replacement fee if the pass is lost.

• If the pass is borrowed on a Friday, you get to enjoy it for the whole weekend!

The following trails have been cleared and are safe for walking/hiking.

We recommend you take a friend or group along while hiking in the woods for safety reasons. We hope you enjoy the trails that have been designed for beginner or intermediate hikers.
