We have been learning......

English - Year 5: We have written a newspaper report based on our text - The Explorer. We have also created a double page spread presentation using various pieces of work from the last two weeks. They look amazing! Finally we have written a book review of the book after finishing the reading of a brilliant novel!

Maths - Year 5: We have completed some amazing parabolic curves using only straight lines. They are very effective. We have also been involved in using maths calculation skills in order to work out clues that then help us to solve a mystery.

Spanish - We continued learning how to introduce the members of our family.

PSHE - Year 5 and 6 have now completed the Changing Me unit of our PSHE lessons. We have looked at the changes that could be coming up as we move to a new year group / school and how we might deal with these changes. If you would like more information regarding PSHE this half term, please remember to refer to the information that was sent out at the end of last half term.

Art: We have completed our unit of work looking at African art.

RE: We continued to learn about the Pillars of Islam.

Outdoor PE focus 1 for this half-term - Cricket

Outdoor PE focus 2 for the term - Athletics / Tennis

Year 6 have also been working hard to prepare for their Leavers’ Assembly.

For home learning this week, you could have a go at writing an alternative blurb for a book you are reading at the moment.
