We wish you all a wonderful summer break!
Good luck to our year 6's who are leaving us and moving on to their new secondary schools.
We look forward to seeing you all in September!
Please see our Year 6 SATs results below. In May, they took these statutory assessments in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, Maths and Reading. The writing score is based on teacher assessment.
Well done to all of the children. We are exceptionally proud of you and recognise your hard work and perseverance.
Thank you to all of the teachers, learning support assistants and parents for your ongoing support for the children.
Even more importantly, we are confident that their time at Cheam Park Farm has helped them develop into kind, confident and well-rounded individuals.
National averages for Greater Depth have not yet been released.
We are delighted to be able to offer all children the opportunity to access a wide range of ebooks, magazines, comics and audiobooks though the Sora Primary Ebook Library. We will be officially launching using the Sora Primary Ebook Library in school in September, but we are excited to be able to offer you pre launch access to it over the summer break. Just look for the Sora icon on your child’s google home page and this will take you straight to the resource.
Happy Reading!
We were very lucky to have some chinese visitors come to our school at the beginning of July. They buddied up with some of our year 5 children and had a fun filled week.
Read Ayza's account below about her week with her buddy Linda.
On Monday we got to know our buddies and gave them a tour of the school. We made sure they knew where things were for them to have a lovely time. We also went outside to play a football match and my buddy Linda was a good player. The next day we got to arts and crafts. We did a ‘pass it on picture’ and we all added it to it. We logged them into their pads and got them started. They didn’t know how to use Google or Youtube. We started them off with a how to draw a dragon youtube tutorial. I drew a purple and blue dragon. My buddy was an amazing drawer. Wednesday was my favourite day because we were going to go to the park. We started the day off with a Wizard of Oz show that came to our school. I found it really entertaining and I loved it. Then we got our bags ready and headed off for Cheam park. We played in the playground and had our snacks. My favourite thing to play on was the zip line. We walked from there to nonsuch park and sat down on the benches in the mansion garden to have our lunch. It did start raining but we dried off in the end. We took pictures of the landscape, the flowers and the pond to make a booklet of memories for our chinese buddies to take back to China with them. The very next day, we did some science projects. We did a competition to see who’s paper aeroplane would fly the furthest. We also played another game of football. Friday was a relaxing day and we played some board games and watched Angry Birds. I played chess with Mr Barron and nearly won. At the end of the day we gave them their picture booklets and a goody bag. I was really sad when she left because we had a really good time .

The uniform shop now stocks uniform with our new school logo. This is now available via the SchoolWearInc website.
Any current school uniform (featuring our old logo) will still be able to be worn until your child has grown out of it.
Current uniform is currently being sold at a discounted price from the uniform shop.
From September, in line with the new LEO uniform policy, we will be asking all children to have black school shoes rather than trainers as part of their school uniform. Please consider this when you are purchasing your child's school shoes for September.
Please can we take this opportunity to remind you to park respectfully in the roads around school.
We pride ourselves on offering our children varied and exciting experiences that help to support their learning of the curriculum. The School Fund will allow us to provide additional activities, school visits and enrichment opportunities across all year groups.
We have a voluntary school fund donation of £10 a term / £30 a year per child or £40 for a family if there are siblings at the school. We are aware of the current cost of living crisis and any donation will be gratefully received.
Parents can pay for School Fund online via our Arbor payment system. Log into the parent portal and on your child's home screen under accounts you will see School Fund, click into this and select Top Up Account. You can then choose to pay the £10, £30 or £40. Please ignore the weekly payments, you just need to make the one off payment for either the term or academic year as you choose.
We would like to thank you for your continued support.

A guide for parents: Transitioning from Primary to Secondary school
Starting a new school, with new teachers and classmates can be a very daunting and overwhelming thing. With that said, it is also a very exciting time and a big milestone which every young person experiences.
As a parent it is in our best interest to support our children through these unfamiliar times, therefore focusing on exciting opportunities such as: new subjects, activities and friends. Celebrating the milestone of finishing primary school, and all the ways they have grown, can really boost their self-esteem and confidence.
I understand that many of us may not have had a great school experience and the negative, worrying feelings that our children display could then trigger us and bring up some unwanted feelings and thoughts. Rest assured that you are not alone, we have all had some form of bad experience in our school days, but so long as we are encouraging and understanding, our children should feel at ease which will also be helpful for us as adults and parents.
