This week in Reception, we have been dreaming of soaring through the sky in an aeroplane! Inspired by the story of "Emma Jane's Aeroplane," the children have started planning a pretend trip to Spain. We've been busy creating passports and boarding cards, getting everything ready for our exciting journey. We can't wait to "board" the plane next week and explore the sights and sounds of Spain!

In Maths, we've been brushing up on our counting skills and mastering the art of counting in twos. 

The children designed and built their own junk model boats. They used the knowledge they have gained from investigating floating and sinking and waterproof and not waterproof to select the correct materials. We then tested our boats!

We have also been taking a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about some of our favorite moments and stories from the year in Reception. It's been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all we've learnt together.
