Wheat is the staple crop of Northern China, and you will find an abundance of wheat-flour products in the form of noodles, dumplings, steamed buns, stuffed buns, and pancakes. Rice is also eaten in the north, but is definitely secondary to wheat.
I think that Dew Drop Inn was my favorite place so far because of their flavors, and unique sweetness. My favorite dish was the bread roll with condensed milk, and the bread roll mixed with the beef dish. These were cool because the condensed milk brought a cool sweetness to the food, while the beef and buns were really flavorful and comforting.
My favorite dish was the Sweet bread roll. It was very crunchy and soft and when paired with the condensed milk it was very flavourful and sweet.
I really liked the green beans with garlic because the garlic wasn't to strong but you could still taste it. It was also a very little restaurant that I enjoyed and all of the food was so bright and flavorful.- Sophia d.
