Question #1: What does the Options process at LAB look like?
Answer: The visual representation below is a simplified version of the Options process, but we would encourage you to read through the more detailed information on this site, particularly in relation to the Options subjects your child has expressed an interest in.
Question #2: What will the Options form look like?

Question #3: Can my child choose both History and Geography if they so wish?
Answer: Yes. Your child should choose one of these as a compulsory subject; they can then select the other as one of their Options choices.
Question #4: What if my child is unable to study one of their preferences?
Answer: Following the final deadline for the Options form, we will do our utmost to ensure that all can study the preferences they have selected. However, where this is not possible, we have asked students to select a reserve Option. There will also be a consultation period where any students who are required to study said reserve Option are notified of this, and meet with a Senior Leader to discuss in more detail, so that we know that each student is fully informed and happy with the outcome going forward.
