Please note that, although it is compulsory to pick either Geography or History as one of your GCSEs, if you select History, you can also opt to take Geography as one of your options choices.

Geography is great for any kind of career that involves the environment, planning, or collecting and interpreting of data.
Popular careers for people with geography qualifications include: town or transport planning, surveying, conservation, sustainability, waste and water management, environmental planning, tourism, and weather forecasting.
The army, police, government, research organisations, law and business world also love the practical research skills that geographers develop.
Because geographers learn about human and population development, geography can be useful for jobs in charity and international relations too!
Research skills, such as using a range of technical methods for the collection and analysis of spatial and environmental data, and undertaking fieldwork
Transferable skills, such as teamwork, problem solving, IT skills, communication skills (presentation, writing, debating)
