Meet the Teacher

Hello, my name is Mrs. Shaffer and I live in Warsaw, Missouri. I was born in Georgia, but I have lived most of my life in Missouri. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2016 and again in 2024 with a Master's Degree as a Math Specialist! I am about to begin my 9th year of teaching. This will be my first year focusing on math education and I am so excited to start this new journey!

My husband, Jr and I have been married for 12 years and we have 2 boys, Spencer and Kayle. I love to spend time with my family and almost anything that has to do with the outdoors. I love swimming and summer is my favorite season, despite the pesky bugs!

I love children and I am the oldest of 5 kids in my family! I have a lot of patience, so I always thought teaching would be the perfect fit.  My granny was a Spanish teacher and I got my love of teaching from her! I enjoy teaching others and watching students learn new things. I love teaching because it is always a challenge, but there is always a reward in the end. (Even if it isn't noticed at first.) It is always amazing when a student reaches that “aha” moment and figures everything out after trying to learn something new. Every student has a bright future and I am so happy to have the opportunity to be a part of their lives. Today's children are our future!
