Mrs. Edward, a graduate of USF and FGCU, comes to FMMA with 32 years of experience in the School District of Lee County and 18 years of experience as an administrator. She has been married to John Edward, a physical education teacher in Lee County, for 22 years, and together she and John have 7 children and 4 grandchildren. Mrs. Edward loves to run marathons and has even completed the Disney Goofy Challenge--which consists of a half-marathon on Saturday and a full marathon on Sunday, for a total of 36.3 miles in one weekend! Aside from her passion for running, Mrs. Edward also has a love for tennis, golf, and the beach. Her primary goal is for everyone to know that it is ALWAYS a great day at Fort Myers Middle Academy!

Mr. Forrest Walker has been appointed one of two associate principals in the district. As an associate principal, Mr. Walker will complete his principal internship alongside Principal Lynn Edward in the 2021-2022 school year. This internship will prepare him to apply for principal positions in the future and to move into the role with consistency and continuity. A Fort Myers native and product of the Dunbar community, Mr. Walker has been serving the School District of Lee County for 20 years, first as an FMMA math teacher and then as an assistant principal at the Alternative Learning Center, Lehigh Middle, and Dunbar High. Mr. Walker was named Lee County Schools' 2020 Assistant Principal of the Year. He is the proud father of Zoe, Amiya, and Forest III and proud husband to Jaimee. He is also the president of the local chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, the immediate past president of the local National Panhellenic Council, a committed member of Followers of Christ Fellowship Ministries, and the justice ministry leader within Lee Interfaith for Empowerment.

Dr. Fitzpatrick, a graduate of USF, has 24 years of experience in the School District of Lee County and 10 years of experience as an administrator. She has 2 children, one son and one daughter. When she's not spending time with her kids, she loves working out in the yard and competing in triathlons. At FMMA, Dr. Fitzpatrick is in charge of curriculum, scheduling, and teacher mentoring.
