Band & Chorus

FMMA has a blossoming music program! Ripple students can take both band and chorus classes with our music director, Mrs. Jennie Rimes, who has done such a great job growing our program that our students have begun attending the county's Music Performance Assessments! They recently received an overall 'good' with an 'excellent' in sight-reading!

Mrs. Rimes is an Orff-certified band director who uses motions and movements to teach students music concepts. She prepares her students for annual concerts and community performances and also helps them prepare auditions for high school music programs.

The band program has many community supporters, including Suncoast Credit Union (who recently donated $5,000 for the purchase of instruments) and 7-11 (who donated $711 to our program). Additionally, each year, Mrs. Rimes has students who are selected by the Music for Minor Foundation to receive brand new instruments for free. Wait until you hear our Ripple musicians at work!
