WHAT IS CAMBRIDGE?

Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education is a group certificate that requires learners to study subjects drawn from three curriculum areas within the Cambridge International AS and A Level: mathematics and sciences, languages, and arts and humanities.

Cambridge was designed to give students the option to pursue a more rigorous and ambitious curriculum by teaching the key skills to succeed in college-level work. At the same time, Cambridge classes and the diploma structure are flexible enough to let you tailor the coursework to your interests and strengths.

Besides the academic and intellectual appeal of learning in greater depth, Cambridge allows you to earn an advanced diploma, which will boost your college application. In addition, students can potentially earn college credit or place you out of introductory college coursework as a college freshman.

In order to receive their Cambridge Diploma, which secures the TOP Bright Futures Scholarship when combined with 100 hours of pre-approved community service, students must earn a total of 7 “Cambridge credits” within a 25-month period, with at least one credit in each of the curriculum areas. These “Cambridge credits” are earned by passing the corresponding examination, created by Cambridge, at the end of the school year.
