How many Cambridge credits do I need to earn a Cambridge Diploma?
Candidates must earn 7 total credits in AICE courses in order to earn the Cambridge Diploma. One credit must come from each of the three categories (Math/Science, Languages, Humanities) and an additional three credits can come from whichever category the candidate chooses as well as the Elective category. The final credit must be acquired by completing Cambridge Global Perspectives.
Can students engage in both Cambridge and Dual Enrollment?
Yes, students can take Dual Enrollment classes and Cambridge classes.
How do I earn a Cambridge credit?
When a candidate sits for a Cambridge examination and passes the test the student earns a credit toward the Cambridge Diploma. When a student takes the exam in the May/June session, the results are typically returned in mid to early August.
How do I transfer Cambridge credits to any college or university?
US students can use the free, online Grade Transcript Service to send their Cambridge Advanced (International AS & A Level) exam grades and Cambridge Diploma status to US colleges and universities.
What if I do not pass a Cambridge examination? Do I lose ALL credit?
If you fail a Cambridge examination it does not impact the level of credit you receive for passing the course. Therefore, you still receive the necessary credit toward the local high school diploma. However, you will not have earned a credit toward the Cambridge Diploma.
When do students take Cambridge examinations?
Cambridge examinations are offered twice during the school year. The majority of our students will take Cambridge examinations in April/May. Please note that several Cambridge examinations may take place after the regular school year has ended, but are still required.
