This is an unprecedented time for education. Under Governor Baker's order, schools in the Commonwealth are closed until at least Monday, May 4 through the end of the school year. The Lee Public Schools will continue with our Remote Learning Plan for teaching and learning through the last day of school, which is June 12, 2020. (Last updated April 23, 2020.)
Some basic information about our Remote Learning Plan:
The Lee Public Schools will be moving a limited portion of the curriculum forward during this closure.
Students can expect between 2-3 hours of schoolwork each day depending on grade level; DESE's guidance is that remote learning must constitute half a school's day worth of work.
There are identified opportunities for students and families to connect with educators.
All students will move to a Credit/No Credit or Pass/Fail grading for quarters 3 and 4.
Students will be held accountable for doing the assigned lessons.
Educators will be providing feedback to students as appropriate.
LPS will continue to focus on the social-emotional wellness of our students, families, and educators.
LPS and the Town of Lee will continue to provide meals for our food-insecure students/residents.
